Brianna Land with traveling trophy and decorated collection container

Briana Land’s train-themed decoration landed Parker Hall the traveling trophy for “most creative container” during Staff Council’s food and toy drive collection contest.

Staff Council members thank the campus community for your support of the recent food and toy drives, as well as individual and department donations for the Greater Rolla Area Community Enterprise (GRACE). During the November drives, faculty and staff donated more than 1,500 food items, 80 toys and more than $400 in monetary donations. The Chancellor’s Holiday Brunch on Dec. 6 brought in additional donations.

For the second consecutive year, Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall keeps the traveling trophy for most items collected. The competition was close among employees in Butler-Carlton, Engineering Management Building and Rock Mechanics and Explosives Research Center.

Staff Council members presented a traveling trophy to employees at Parker Hall for the most creative container. Briana Land, office support assistant in admissions, decorated collection boxes using a train theme, landing Parker Hall the trophy.

Staff Council thanks everyone who has contributed canned goods, toys, time or spirit to make the holidays brighter for families and individuals in need.
