The University of Missouri System Board of Curators is meeting in St. Pat’s A and B of the Havener Center today (Thursday, April 12) and tomorrow (Friday, April 13). The meeting begins at 9 a.m. each day and is open to the public. The meetings can also be watched via livestream at umsystem.edu/curators/stream. The University of Missouri System Board of Curators will meet on campus this Thursday and Friday, April 12-13, in St. Pat’s A and B of the Havener Center. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. each day and is open to the public. Interim Chancellor Chris Maples will address the board at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday and will discuss Missouri S&T community outreach and engagement efforts. Following Maples’ presentation, the curators will hold a “critical issues discussion” about the work of the University Task Force, which has been looking at issues related to leadership, management, organization, performance and expectations for the university’s organization as a system.

Staff Council will host an open forum 9-11 a.m. Friday, March 16, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center for S&T staff members. Dr. Christopher Maples, interim chancellor, will take questions from the audience. Staff members may ask questions at the forum or submit questions before the meeting by emailing mststaffcouncil@mst.edu. Celebrate at Chancellor’s Holiday Brunch Dec. 6
Warm up, wind down and enjoy winter wonder. Faculty and staff are invited to celebrate the holidays with refreshments, live piano music, caroling and company at the Chancellor’s Holiday Brunch 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Hasselmann Alumni House. Maples to continue as interim chancellor through May 2019
University of Missouri System President Mun Y. Choi has announced that Dr. Christopher G. Maples, interim chancellor of Missouri S&T since May 2017, will continue to serve in that capacity through May 31, 2019. Maples’ original appointment was for one year. The UM System Board of Curators approved the extension of his appointment during the board’s meeting on Nov. 10 at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Read more.

In conjunction with the University of Missouri System, Missouri S&T is contributing to a systemwide plan for all four UM System campuses, named the Missouri Compact for Education, Research, Engagement and Economic Development.
