Staff Council hosts first forum, more to come

Dr. Christopher G. Maples, interim chancellor, and Cuba Plain, interim vice chancellor for finance and operations, answered questions from employees at a staff forum hosted by Staff Council on March 16. John Cook, interim chair of Staff Council, says the council will host future forums for staff members. If there are questions or concerns you would like addressed at an upcoming forum, please email mststaffcouncil@mst.edu.
Most of the questions and comments at the recent forum were about budget planning, salaries, University of Missouri System benefits and staff merit raises. Cook also reviewed proposed changes to Staff Council bylaws and invited employees to attend Staff Council meetings, which are open to all. The next Staff Council meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 12, in Room 140 Toomey Hall.
