Apply for funding to publish results from mini-grant project

Past recipients of S&T educational research mini-grants who plan to disseminate their project results may apply for funding from the provost’s office through the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE). Past recipients may apply for up to $1,000 for project-related travel expenses and costs related to presenting or publishing the results of your educational research project. To apply, please submit a proposal by Friday, May 18, to the CERTI office. Details are available online.

Location change announced for Oct. 23 faculty workshop

The faculty workshop, “Troubleshooting Teams” will be held 3-4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in Room 206 of the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building. The location was recently changed from Norwood Hall to the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building.

S&T participates in active learning initiatives

Missouri S&T was one of more than 160 organizations that signed a letter to President Obama committing to take steps for sustained use of active learning strategies in undergraduate science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) classrooms.
