Location change announced for Oct. 23 faculty workshop

The faculty workshop, “Troubleshooting Teams” will be held 3-4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in Room 206 of the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building. The location was recently changed from Norwood Hall to the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building.
Discussions will focus on finding solutions for issues that arise when working with student teams in a classroom setting. Refreshments will be provided. The Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation (CERTI) is sponsoring the event. RSVP at https://goo.gl/forms/pF4INAO45oBTKglv1.

- How do you overcome student antipathy toward group work?
- What do you do with the free rider?
- How can student skills be developed for team work?
- How do you assess individual team members on group projects?
