The campus community is invited to attend a Celebration of Life 1-2 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 23) to honor the life and legacy of Fred Kummer, a Missouri S&T alumnus and philanthropist who died April 30 at age 92. The event will be held in the Kinyon-Koeppel Grand Hall of Hasselmann Alumni House, with light refreshments to follow in the Fred and June Kummer Garden at the alumni house.Read More »
The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Ryan Wesley Swier of Rolla, who passed away Aug. 8 at Phelps Health. Swier was 19 and pursuing computer science and mechanical engineering degrees at S&T.
A “Celebration of Life” service in his memory will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at the Rolla chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary. A visitation for family and friends will be held 3-4 p.m. at the chapel prior to the service.
The campus community is invited to a memorial celebration to honor Dr. John F. “Jack” Carney III, former chancellor of Missouri S&T, at 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, in the Kinyon-Koeppel Grand Hall of Hasselmann Alumni House. A “Celebration of Life” service in the memory of Joe Keeton will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Gladstone Community Center in Gladstone, Missouri. Keeton was a former coach in the Missouri S&T athletic department and member of the Miner Athletic Hall of Fame. He passed away Friday, Oct. 5, at the age of 77.Read More »
