You’re invited to celebration of life event for the late Fred Kummer

The campus community is invited to attend a Celebration of Life 1-2 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 23) to honor the life and legacy of Fred Kummer, a Missouri S&T alumnus and philanthropist who died April 30 at age 92. The event will be held in the Kinyon-Koeppel Grand Hall of Hasselmann Alumni House, with light refreshments to follow in the Fred and June Kummer Garden at the alumni house.
Kummer and his wife of 68 years, June, donated a transformative gift to S&T last fall to establish the Kummer Institute for Student Success, Research and Economic Development.
A memory book will be available for all attendees to sign, and Chancellor Mo Dehghani will read a “letter to Fred” in honor of his memory and will lead a toast in Kummer’s honor.
