The viewing of Mars, previously scheduled for Nov. 14, has been cancelled and replaced by the viewing of the Great Orion Nebula, beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at the Missouri S&T Observatory. Dr. Raissa Ferron, assistant professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, will present “Engineering Smart, Stimuli-responsive Cementitious Composites” at noon Thursday, Nov. 17, in 109A Fulton Hall. United Way of Phelps County campaign packets were recently mailed to Missouri S&T faculty, staff and retirees.
