Read More »Missouri S&T’s Police Department, in conjunction with the S&T marketing and communications department, will film an instructional video at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in the Havener Center. If you are on campus or driving by during the filming, you may see student actors running out of the Havener Center to simulate fleeing from a shooter. During filming, signage on building entrances and around campus will clearly indicate that filming for a simulated, controlled event is taking place. Missouri S&T Police officers will be stationed near the filming location. Additional filming for the video is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Engineering Management Building and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, inside and on the north side of the Engineering Management Building.

Read More »Missouri S&T’s new policy regarding animals on campus, Policy III-43, is available online. Chancellor Cheryl B. Schrader approved the policy on Nov. 1. The decision was made following Missouri S&T’s official policy development process, which included an open forum for the campus community on Oct. 3, revisions to a proposed policy following feedback and review by the Chancellor’s Council.
Read More »The archives at Missouri S&T has grown since it was first established in 1978 to house the university’s historical records. In 2017, the archives will make history itself when an archives librarian, a full-time position, is added to the staff. The archives librarian will report to the library director. The archives has been staffed by a part-time employee and a faculty member serving as archivist in addition to his or her faculty responsibilities.

Read More »Missouri S&T’s Small Business and Technology Development Center encourages business owners and entrepreneurs to complete a business needs survey by Sunday, Dec. 11. Results will be used to help shape the programs and support offered by the center. The survey will take approximately five minutes. It is open to the nine-county area served by the center: Crawford, Dent, Franklin, Gasconade, Maries, Miller, Osage, Phelps and Pulaski counties.
