Due to a recent change to University of Missouri System’s Collected Rules and Regulations, all faculty and staff are now required to complete a conflict of interest report. The requirement was previously for exempt employees only but it now applies to everyone employed by the university: exempt and non-exempt employees and full-time and part-time employees.

Parking Area M, Lot 36, located near the Engineering Research Laboratory, will be closed Friday, June 16, and again Friday, June 23, for a fireworks display by Explosives Camp participants. The lot must by completely empty by 6 p.m. on these days to allow for the fireworks. Display set up will begin at approximately 2 p.m. each day. Due to waterproofing repair work on the Humanities and Social Sciences Building, the sidewalk between it and the Engineering Management Building will be closed today (Monday, June 12) and Tuesday, June 13. Tim Albers has been named vice provost and dean of enrollment management. His two-year appointment began Thursday, June 1. A national search will be conducted for a permanent vice provost and dean of enrollment management. Albers has served as interim vice provost and dean for enrollment management since October 2016, following the retirement of Laura Stoll.

Dr. David Borrok, a professor of geosciences and director of the School of Geosciences at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, has been named chair of Missouri S&T’s geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering department. The appointment takes effect Tuesday, Aug. 1. Get more details.
