The invited paper describes Missouri S&T’s branding initiatives during the 2007-08 name change from UMR and more recent branding efforts associated with S&T’s strategic plan. In preparation for the site visit, the campus community is invited to review and provide feedback on materials created for the evaluation by Wednesday, Feb. 28. Read More »Local artist Dan Woodward is restoring “The Rolla Mural” on the second floor of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library, where it will remain after his restoration work is finished in March. First created by Sidney Larson, the mural depicts the history of Rolla from 1844 to the 1950s. The 5-foot-by-22-foot piece depicts several historical figures, moments and buildings in Rolla’s history. It was originally commissioned by Edward Sowers in 1952 and displayed in the Sowers Building, which houses The Rolla Daily News. The Sowers family donated the mural to Missouri S&T, where it will be on public display in the library.
