Move your invention forward with TAG

S&T’s technology transfer and economic development office will again offer Technology Acceleration Grants to help move inventions forward toward commercialization. The office will award up to $75,000 — and up to $25,000 per proposal — for short-term, outcome-driven, translational research projects.  Proposals are due by Monday, April 15. Get more information.

Audition for ‘Mathlete’ — the musical

Miner League Theatre Players, a part of the arts, languages and philosophy department, will hold open auditions for Mathlete Sum-It: the Almost All Girls Musical at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27. Faculty and staff are encouraged to audition. Actors of all ages older than age 16 are needed.

Funeral services announced for Dwight Lyle

Retiree Dwight Lowry Lyle, who served in S&T’s printing department for 30 years, died Jan. 20. Visitation services will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Jones Funeral Home, followed by burial with full military honors at St. James Cemetery.

Temporary hot water outages planned tomorrow

All buildings on campus will individually experience a temporary soft water outage as crews check for soft water leaks throughout the day tomorrow (8 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17).
