University Police is offering a self-defense class named Rape, Aggression, Defense (R.A.D.) training for women noon-6 p.m. Thursday, June 20, and Friday, June 21, in Room G-5D of Campus Support Facility.
The classes are free for Missouri S&T students and employees. Participants must attend both of the sessions in the 12-hour course.
Tyler Wagnon, an officer for University Police, will lead the comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. To enroll, please contact Officer Wagnon at wagnont@mst.edu.
