The communications department has received word that Dr. D. Vincent Roach, associate professor emeritus of chemistry at Missouri S&T, died on Sunday, March 23. Funeral arrangements are pending.

The Miner Alumni Association’s Student Leadership Award Endowed Scholarship is a $1,500 ($750 for two semesters) scholarship. It is awarded to a student who demonstrates academic excellence, service to the campus and community, personal objectives and goals and quality recommendations. Applications for the scholarship are due by Wednesday, April 9. Apply online at the alumni website.
