Join the students of the Catholic Newman Center for their annual chicken and dumplings dinner 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at St Patrick’s Parish Hall. Prices are $6 for adults, $4 for students (with a valid student ID) and $3 for children 6-12 years old. Children 5 and under eat free. Carry out is available and one gallon containers of dumplings may be purchased for $20 at the dinner, and the week after, while supplies last. For more information, email Nathan Breshears.

The screening committee for the associate dean of research and external relations for the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business invites the campus community to four public feedback sessions Nov. 4-7 on campus. These meetings will allow Missouri S&T faculty, staff and students an opportunity to listen to a short presentation by the candidates for the position, interact with them and provide input to the committee. A ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the System and Process Assessment Research (SPAR) Laboratory will held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in the Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall atrium. Missouri S&T’s marketing and communications office is looking for new student faces and voices to help tell the university story to various audiences. Two “casting calls” for interested students will be held Nov. 4-5 in the Havener Center. Encourage your students to audition. Students of all ages and majors are needed.
