Equality and respect in One Book case
Dr. Joel Dittmer, assistant professor of philosophy at S&T, will give a presentation titled “Equality and Respect in the Henrietta Lacks Case” at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A of the Havener Center. This presentation is part of the One Book Program’s series of programs related to important themes in the current One Book selection, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Dittmer’s talk is free and open to the public.

Educational technology is accepting presentation proposals for the eighth annual Teaching and Learning Technology Conference, scheduled for March 12-13, 2015. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Robbie Melton, associate vice chancellor of mobilization emerging technologies at the Tennessee Board of Regents.

Southwinds, the campus literary and arts magazine celebrating the creative work of students, faculty, staff and alumni, is sponsoring an open mic night 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in Einstein’s Bagels in the Havener Center.
