Attend a CERTI faculty workshop

“Get Students to Focus on Learning Instead of Grades,” a faculty workshop sponsored by the Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation (CERTI), will be held noon-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A of the Havener Center. Lunch will be provided.
The presenter is Dr. Saundra McGuire, professor of chemistry and director emeritus of the Center for Academic Success at Louisiana State University. McGuire will share strategies that help students acquire simple but effective learning strategies based on cognitive science principles. She has presented her widely acclaimed faculty development workshops at over 150 institutions in 39 states and five countries.
RSVP to Diane Hagni by Wednesday, Feb. 4, and specify any dietary restrictions for lunch.
