Guide students to LEAD course assistance
The Learning Enhancement Across Disciplines (LEAD) program provides free walk-in tutoring and faculty-led learning centers in over 60 courses this semester. This includes all introductory courses in math, chemistry, physics and computer science, and full operation of several more learning centers. Today is application deadline for student commencement speakers
The Commencement Student Speaker Committee will select two students, one from each college, to speak at each of the commencement ceremonies on Dec. 16. The application deadline is today (Monday, Oct. 9). To be considered as a finalist for a live audition, students must apply at stuaff.mst.edu/speaker and provide a copy of their proposed speech and resume.

The S&T Store is hosting several promotions and sales:
- Select backpacks at the S&T Store will be discounted by 25 percent. The backpack sale begins today (Monday, Oct. 9) and will run through Friday, Oct. 20.
- Customers at the store can enter to win a bicycle, currently on display.
- A punch card is available for drinks and snacks – buy nine and get one free with the card. Select beverages are on sale. Get more details.
Faculty welcome reception planned Oct. 10
The Faculty Recruitment and Retention Council will host a faculty welcome reception 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Hasselmann Alumni House for S&T faculty and administrators. Come meet new faculty, mingle with colleagues, enjoy refreshments and make new connections. Newly promoted and tenured faculty members will be honored.
