Some electronic lock systems will be affected by the partial power outage that is planned on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

The following buildings will experience a power outage. In these buildings, the electronic lock system will operate on a battery backup system for an estimated two hours. Once the batteries are depleted, ID cards will not work on the locks. To gain access, individuals will need to use keys instead of their ID cards. Individuals will be able to leave rooms and the buildings but they will not be able to enter without keys.

  • Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall
  • Centennial Hall
  • Compressible Flow Lab
  • Engineering Management Building
  • Engineering Research Lab
  • Parker Hall
  • Toomey Hall
  • McNutt Hall

The following buildings will experience a power outage. However, the electronic lock systems are connected to a backup generator so the electronic locks will remain in operation as normal:

  • Computer Science Building
  • Bertelsmeyer Hall
  • Schrenk Hall
