Bookstore promotions include backpack sale, bike giveaway

The S&T Store is hosting several promotions and sales:

  • Select backpacks at the S&T Store will be discounted by 25 percent. The backpack sale begins today (Monday, Oct. 9) and will run through Friday, Oct. 20.
  • Customers at the store can enter to win a bicycle, currently on display.
  • A punch card is available for drinks and snacks – buy nine and get one free with the card. Select beverages are on sale. Get more details.

Faculty welcome reception planned Oct. 10

The Faculty Recruitment and Retention Council will host a faculty welcome reception 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Hasselmann Alumni House for S&T faculty and administrators. Come meet new faculty, mingle with colleagues, enjoy refreshments and make new connections. Newly promoted and tenured faculty members will be honored.

Missouri S&T’s Commencement Committee seeks volunteers to usher during the winter commencement ceremonies Saturday, Dec. 16. Ushering will be a full-day commitment with lunch provided. Fire alarm testing planned Oct. 5 in Schrenk Hall

The City of Rolla Fire and Rescue and Missouri S&T facilities staff will conduct testing on Schrenk Hall’s new fire alarm system tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 5). The alarms will be activated; however, you will not need to evacuate the building during the test.

Today’s State of the University starts at noon
