Dr. Mun Choi, president of the University of Missouri System, and Dr. Christopher Maples, interim chancellor of Missouri S&T, led a fireside chat yesterday for the campus community. During the event in Leach Theatre, Choi announced that the national search process for a permanent chancellor will begin in September. He said that an outside firm will not be used for the process and an inclusive search committee comprising students, faculty, staff, alumni and committee members will be instrumental in the search process.

This new committee will include staff, student and faculty representatives to help address concerns on campus. Nominations can be submitted to Staff Council at mststaffcouncil@mst.edu.
