Season subscriptions available for Campus Performing Arts Series

Season subscriptions are on sale for Leach Theatre’s 2018-19 Campus Performing Arts Series through Friday, Aug. 31. The series will include dance company MOMIX, The Texas Tenors (season four finalists from “America’s Got Talent”) and 1970s folk-rock duo Brewer & Shipley.

Toomey Hall fire this morning

At 3:16 a.m. today (Tuesday, Aug. 7), the City of Rolla Fire and Rescue responded to a fire alarm in Toomey Hall. Firefighters determined that a small fire (about the size of a desk) had occurred as part of an experiment in a research lab on the second floor. The sprinkler system extinguished the fire, and fire damage was limited to a desktop and equipment within the experiment. While there was no fire damage to Toomey Hall, there was limited water damage due to sprinkler activation.

S&T to receive $1.7 million in federal support for nuclear engineering programs

Math researchers receive NSF grant
