Do not be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles, such as fire trucks, police cars and ambulances on campus this morning (Wednesday, Dec. 15). S&T’s environmental health and safety department will host its annual off-site responder training 9-10 a.m. at the Missouri S&T Nuclear Reactor.

Staff Council announces contest winners
Staff Council named the Christmas train created by the College of Engineering and Computing the best decorated collection container in its recent GRACE Holiday Food Drive and Chamber of Commerce Toy Drive. Civil, architectural and environmental engineering took first place for collecting the most donations, with a total of 2,682 items.

Thanks to the generosity of the S&T community, including University Police and Parking Operations, which recently donated proceeds from parking amnesty day to the Student Emergency Fund, the Division of Student Affairs is able to assist S&T students with unexpected emergency expenses that can derail progress toward degree completion.

Missouri S&T will host a walk-in Pfizer vaccine clinic 2-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. Individuals may get their first or second dose or a booster shot. If you have been vaccinated, bring your current vaccination record with you.

Commencement ceremonies planned Dec. 17-18
Missouri S&T will honor graduating students while following COVID-19 safety guidelines during three commencement ceremonies scheduled for Dec. 17-18. Commencement ceremonies will be held at the following times:
- 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, for all Ph.D. graduates
- 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, for bachelor’s and master’s degree graduates in specific disciplines
- 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, for bachelor’s and master’s degree graduates in specific disciplines.
