Summer Young, lead grant writer for the office of the vice chancellor for research and innovation since May 2017, will resign from her position Wednesday, May 25.
“Summer has led the proposal development team since 2017 and has assisted in multi-investigator proposals that are large, complex, or otherwise strategic to the institution,” says Dr. Kamal Khayat, interim vice chancellor for research and innovation. Summer has been a dedicated employee and an essential asset to our team, and her knowledge and service will be greatly missed.”
Maria Shaub, proposal developer, will take over part of Young’s role until the position is filled. The office will work diligently to fill this role quickly and seek to create a new position to reinforce the proposal development team.
