Scholars showcase summer research
The Future Research Pioneers Program (FRPP) is an opportunity for mechanical and aerospace engineering undergraduate students to conduct hands-on research at Missouri S&T. After a summer of exploration, the 2023 FRPP researchers presented their findings through poster presentations in the Toomey Hall atrium on Sept. 21.

Mark Mullin selected for induction into Missouri Sports Hall of Fame
Mark Mullin, who served as director of athletics and head swimming coach at Missouri S&T for 35 years, was named as one of the inductees into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in its 2023 induction class.

Eric Hanson published research from his master’s thesis on renewable procurement options in the U.S. The Renewable Energy paper is the result of collaborative work with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

Researchers present S&T’s biomedical work
Four principal investigators for the S&T Center for Biomedical Research attended the 2023 Military Health System Research Symposium in August, in Orlando, Florida. The symposium attracted more than 4,000 participants, including military personnel, private contractors and academic researchers.
