Liu, Zhang present at international transportation conference

The 7th International Conference on Transportation Infrastructure and Materials was held on June 14-16, in Chongqing, China. Dr. Jenny Liu, James A. Heidman Professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, and Dr. Xiong Zhang, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, were invited to give keynote presentations at the conference.

Remington R. Williams Award recipient announced

Ryan Highfill, a senior in civil engineering and engineering management from Ozark, Missouri, has been named a 2024 recipient of the Remington R. Williams Award. Highfill is the executive director of the Associated Students of the University of Missouri and a former chapter president of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.

DisMEIRP team wins NSF’s Spirit of I-Corps Award and $50,000

A team of researchers recently completed the National Science Foundation I-Corps program, earning the Spirit of I-Corps award and $50,000. The team, named DisMEIRP (Disaster Management Enterprise Information Resource Planning), participated in the second cohort of the program, which spanned Monday, April 15, to Friday, May 31.

Oerther receives Champion of Nursing Award

Oerther, an environmental health engineering professor at Missouri S&T, has been awarded the Champion of Nursing Award from the American Nurses Association (ANA). He was presented with the award, which is given to an extraordinary leader or organization not in the nursing profession, during a ceremony in late June in Washington, D.C.
