Dr. Michael Bruening, associate professor of history and political science, is the author of a new sourcebook for college-level classes on the Reformation period. In A Reformation Sourcebook: Documents from an Age of Debate, Bruening presents the debates of the Reformation era through more than 80 primary sources, and provides an essay on how to read primary sources. Bruening translated 14 of the source documents from Latin or French. The book is published by University of Toronto Press.

Read More »Dr. Bill Schonberg, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, presented two papers at the 2017 Hypervelocity Impact Symposium, held April 23-28 in Canterbury, England. Schonberg’s first presentation was based on work he performed as a faculty fellow at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory during the summer of 2016. He described the development of design equations that would increase the safety of human space travel and space operations in earth orbit and beyond.

S&T was ranked the best value college in Missouri and seventh-best in the nation by SmartAsset.com, a new ranking website that determines its top schools by examining tuition, student living costs, graduates’ starting salary, scholarship and grant offerings, and retention rate. According to the 2017 PayScale College ROI Report, S&T ranks eighth in the nation for ROI, sixth among public universities for in-state students and first among Missouri colleges and universities.
