ElGawady shares expertise in four Asian countries

Dr. Mohamed ElGawady delivered the keynote address at the seventh annual International Jordanian Civil Engineering Conference, in May in Amman, Jordan. He also presented a pre-conference workshop about design of masonry structures. ElGawady is an associate professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, and Benavides Faculty Scholar.

Following the conference, ElGawady presented his work to precast industry representatives in Kuwait, then taught two short courses about bridge column and masonry structure design at Seoul National University in South Korea. Wrapping up his trip, ElGawady presented his research at Kyoto University’s Disaster Prevention Research Institute in Japan.
