If you are interested in a work study student for the upcoming academic year and have not submitted a request, complete an online requisition form. Please note that submitting a requisition does not guarantee you will receive a work study student, as students choose the positions in which they would like to work.
Read More »Leach Theatre’s first crowdfunding campaign opened Aug. 1 and has achieved 65 percent of its $15,000 goal. Thanks to overwhelming support in the first week of the campaign, the theater is able to stretch its fundraising goal through the end of August. Funds raised through the campaign will go toward technical improvements to the theater’s lighting, sound systems and lobby.
Read More »Missouri S&T staff members received an email on July 28 about the elections for the 2017-18 term for vacant positions on Staff Council. If you have not voted, you will need to open the email and follow the instructions. If you have staff members in your department who do not use email regularly, please let them know about the electronic voting process and encourage them to login in with their single sign-on ID and password to vote for a fellow staff member. Read More »University Police will clear all campus bicycle racks before the start of fall classes. Please remove all bikes from main campus racks by 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10. This does not include bike racks at residential halls. University Police will remove any remaining bikes later that day. Abandoned bikes will be held at the University Police office in Room G-10 Campus Support Facility for six months.

Read More »The new student programs staff is pleased to announce that Union Pacific will again sponsor Opening Week’s Project X. Union Pacific representatives will assist new students with programs and judge their projects. Approximately 1,500 new students will be divided into 85 mentor groups that are guided by upper classmen mentors. Each mentor group can create a vehicle. Vehicles will be judged on several objectives, including design, creativity, presentation and journal. Mark your calendar for races and awards on Friday, Aug. 18. Teams will race their vehicles outside Schrenk Hall beginning at 8:30 a.m. that day. Races will conclude outside the Havener Center at approximately 4 p.m. The project will culminate with an awards ceremony at 9:30 p.m. in the Havener Center.
