Project X vehicle

The new student programs staff is pleased to announce that Union Pacific will again sponsor Opening Week’s  Project X. Union Pacific representatives will assist new students with programs and judge their projects. Approximately 1,500 new students will be divided into 85 mentor groups that are guided by upper classmen mentors. Each mentor group can create a vehicle. Vehicles will be judged on several objectives, including design, creativity, presentation and journal.

Mark your calendar for races and awards on Friday, Aug. 18. Teams will race their vehicles outside Schrenk Hall beginning at 8:30 a.m. that day. Races will conclude outside the Havener Center at approximately 4 p.m. The project will culminate with an awards ceremony at 9:30 p.m. in the Havener Center.
