The university will welcome campus and community members to observe the event on the Havener Center lawn 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The near-total eclipse will peak at 1:15 p.m. at S&T, when the moon obscures 99.8 percent of the sun. Join your fellow colleagues to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event on the Havener Center lawn. The S&T Store has a limited number of eclipse glasses for sale, as does the S&T Astronomical Research Society (STARS), a student organization. Marketing and communications will also hand out a limited supply of sunglasses the day of the eclipse at Havener Center.
