Recommend the career outcomes survey to students

Did you know that as faculty and staff, you can report student career outcomes to career opportunities and employer relations (COER)? The career outcomes survey is not just a COER issue, it’s a campus issue. If you have information on where a student is going after graduation, you can report it to COER so that more outcomes can be recorded. S&T Hispanic Film Series to conclude April 29

The Hispanic Film Series, offered by the arts, languages, and philosophy department, will conclude with a screening of the comedic yet bittersweet Mexican film “Paradise.” The film begins at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, in Room 104 Physics Building. The event is free of charge.

Passing of Dr. Steven L. Grant

Dr. Steven L. Grant, the Roy A. Wilkens Missouri Telecommunications Professor in electrical and computer engineering at Missouri S&T, died Sunday, April 24. Dr. Grant, who joined the S&T faculty in 2004, earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Missouri S&T in 1979. He also held a master of science degree from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from Rutgers University, both in electrical engineering. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Open forums planned for counselor/psychologist candidates

Harvey Mudd president to discuss getting more women into tech careers

Dr. Maria Klawe, president of Harvey Mudd College and creator of an initiative to get more women to study computer science, will visit Missouri S&T today (Monday, April 25) to deliver a public lecture titled “Getting more women into tech careers.” Klawe will speak at 10 a.m. Monday in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center.

Learn the basics of management systems May 6
