Missouri S&T’s Center for Enterprise Resource Planning has partnered with Deloitte to host quarter three of the SAP Simulation Competition on Thursday, April 14. Deloitte’s consultants mentored the student teams during the competition, giving them insight and suggestions on business strategies to help the teams beat their competition.

Team Getamuseli! with team members Ryan Guenther, Sudha Kuchimanchi, Sri Chaitanya Sanaboina and Monika Yerra, won quarter three of the competition with the highest net income while Fresh Flavors, with team members Montana Long, Vamsi Navulura, Ranjana Sharma and David Wegan, currently has the highest cumulative net income for the whole simulation competition.

During Deloitte’s visit, the firm awarded students the SAP Certificate of Excellence, answered questions alongside ERP alumni during an open panel question-and-answer session, gave feedback on the various research and prototype projects ERP students are currently working on, and hosted a case interviewing session in which students could experience life as a consultant.

Deloitte is also working with S&T to expand the ERP curriculum to other majors such as geographical science, petroleum engineering and geological engineering by introducing SAP and ERP classes to those majors. With SAP being the dominant ERP system in the petroleum industry, this addition of curriculum will in turn increase the marketability of those students pursuing careers in the industry.

Quarters four and five of the simulation competition will take place on Friday, April 29. For more information about these events, visit erp.mst.edu/events.
