For the second year in a row, a Missouri S&T graduate student has won the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) international symposium student division competition. This year, the winning entry was submitted by Bhanuchander Poreddy, a Ph.D. student in systems engineering at S&T. The symposium was held June 24-27 in Philadelphia.

The Chancellor’s Leadership Academy is hosting a 5K run/walk on Saturday, Sept. 7, to benefit the Missouri S&T Student Veterans Association. The Missouri S&T Student Veterans Association helps veterans achieve their educational and transitional goals, providing community support and university representation.

The first session of the 2013 Curators’ Teaching Summit will be held at noon Monday, Sept. 16, in the Missouri/Ozark Room of the Havener Center. The topic will be “Tackling Emerging Student Issues in the Classroom.” The event is sponsored by CERTI, the Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation.
