For the second year in a row, a Missouri S&T graduate student has won the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) international symposium student division competition. This year, the winning entry was submitted by Bhanuchander Poreddy, a Ph.D. student in systems engineering at S&T. The symposium was held June 24-27 in Philadelphia.
The winning poster was titled “Modeling Virtual Forward Operating Base Camps (VFOB)” and is part of both his doctoral dissertation and work currently undertaken for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Poreddy was assisted by his faculty advisor Dr. Steven Corns, an assistant professor of engineering management and systems engineering at S&T, as well as Kurt Kinnevan and Dr. Ahmet Soylemezoglu from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
