Beginning tomorrow (Thursday, July 1), Missouri S&T’s Division of Global Learning will transition services to better align its expertise, resources and focus. These changes include:
Summer and youth programs will move to the teacher education and certification department as part of the Kummer Center for Excellence in STEM Education. There will be a concerted and strategic plan to engage, inspire and reach out to K-12 students who are interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Distance education student services and recruitment and marketing efforts will transition to UM System’s consolidated Missouri Online program, and will continue to work on S&T graduate programs.
Professional and continuing education will move away from full-service event planning to supporting academic departments (coordinating their own conferences and professional events) with a campus-wide registration and payment platform. Professional and continuing education will continue to oversee onlinetraining.mst.edu.
