Faculty and staff are invited to volunteer as facilitators for freshman engineering (FE1100) small‑group sessions this fall.

More than 1,000 first-year students enroll in FE1100. In the fall 2026 semester, to deepen student engagement and introduce the increasingly important entrepreneurial mindset, students in each of the 10 sections will break into smaller groups of 20 to 25 for hands-on activities that align with the three Cs of the KEEN Entrepreneurial Mindset — curiosity, connections and creating value. These smaller groups will meet during the weeks of Oct. 26, Nov. 2 and Nov. 16.

Facilitators will guide student activity sessions, take attendance and help create an engaging learning environment for three activity sessions, one session a week. You may assist with more than one session.

Scripts and onboarding materials will be provided.

For more information, email Dr. Rachel Kohman, assistant dean of entrepreneurship education for Kummer Student Programs.
