Miners get a Homecoming win

The Miners got into the win column for Homecoming Saturday, as freshman quarterback Steve Watson threw five touchdown passes — three to Ashton Gronewold — and Jerome Miller ran for a career-high 137 yards to lead UMR to a 44-28 win over Central State at Allgood-Bailey Stadium.

UMR’s annual Mine Rescue Competition was held recently, and the Associated Press was on the case: The scenario in the underground mine was grim: an unconscious victim beneath a roof near collapse, encased by rising levels of carbon monoxide and other deadly gases. Spring Schedule of Classes released

The Spring 2008 Schedule of Classes information is now available to the public online or through Joe’SS. Advising week begins Oct. 22 with student registration appointment times starting on Oct. 29. Student degree audits for advisors are available in the Registrar’s Office for departments to pick up.
