During the event in Leach Theatre, Choi announced that the national search process for a permanent chancellor will begin in September. He said that an outside firm will not be used for the process and an inclusive search committee comprising students, faculty, staff, alumni and committee members will be instrumental in the search process.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. each day and is open to the public. Interim Chancellor Chris Maples will address the board at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday and will discuss Missouri S&T community outreach and engagement efforts.
