Today is the last day to get discounted tickets for TEDxMissouriS&T at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in Leach Theatre. The discounted ticket prices are $10 for the general public and $5 for S&T students. On April 5, the tickets will cost $15 for the general public and $10 for S&T students.

Apply by Friday to tell your story at TEDx
Faculty, staff and students, as well as area community members, can apply to speak at a TEDx event Thursday, April 11, on S&T’s campus. The deadline for applications is Friday, Nov. 16. “Overlooked” is the theme.

Learn how the innovators of today are facing the challenges of tomorrow at a TEDx talk hosted by Missouri S&T 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in Leach Theatre. Of the eight speakers, four are faculty or staff members at Missouri S&T. Speakers and their topics will include:
- “The Power of School Breakfast” by Jon Barry, director of No Kid Hungry Missouri
- “Time Travel — One Second at A Time” by Terry Barner, senior video producer in marketing and communications at Missouri S&T
- “Rethinking Plants for Engineering” by Dr. Joel Burken, Curators’ Distinguished Professor and chair of civil, architectural and environmental engineering at Missouri S&T
