TEDx ticket discount ends today

Today is the last day to get discounted tickets for TEDxMissouriS&T at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in Leach Theatre. The discounted ticket prices are $10 for the general public and $5 for S&T students. On April 5, the tickets will cost $15 for the general public and $10 for S&T students.
To get tickets, order them online or contact the Leach Theatre Box Office at 341-4219 or visit the box office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Nine speakers will explore the theme “Overlooked” during TEDxMissouriS&T at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in Leach Theatre.
The speakers will be:
- Alex Giger, chef at Just a Taste in St. James
- Dr. Chen Hou, associate professor of biological sciences at S&T
- Ed Koharik, a senior in economics at S&T and an entrepreneur
- Tamar Makharashvili, a Ph.D. student in electrical engineering at S&T
- Sgt. Michael (Mac) McLeon, correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Michael Unit
- Joshua Morris, retired Army Ranger
- Leneisa Parks, student service coordinator for graduate studies at S&T
- Mike Schmidt, process safety engineer and lecturer in engineering management and systems engineering at S&T
- Charlotte Wiggins, owner of Bluebird Gardens and a beekeeper.
