Tomorrow is deadline for staff, faculty award nominations
Is there an outstanding Missouri S&T staff member you would like to recognize? How about a faculty member? Or a new staff member who deserves recognition? Staff Council is now accepting nominations for Staff Excellence Awards and two new accolades: Outstanding Newcomer Award and Outstanding Faculty Award. The next Staff Council meeting, originally scheduled for 9 a.m., will instead begin at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, April 11) in Room 250 Toomey Hall. Staff Council meetings are open to all faculty, staff and students. You do not have to be a member of Staff Council to attend meetings or participate in many of the committees.

Staff spotlight: Jim Duncan
Summer is a busy time for S&T’s landscape crew and this July will mark a milestone for the team’s supervisor, Jim Duncan. July 20 will be his 42-year work anniversary at the university. That’s right – Duncan started working at Missouri S&T in 1977. “I’ve seen a lot of changes, a lot of history,” Duncan says.
