Missouri S&T’s Staff Council offers a scholarship program to assist staff members who are furthering their education. Full-time S&T employees enrolled in at least one class at Missouri S&T or another University of Missouri System campus can apply for a $250 scholarship. Scholarships are awarded twice yearly, for the spring and fall semesters. The deadline for the fall semester is Friday, June 15.

The Joe Mooney Distinguished Student Award recognizes leadership and service by S&T students who are in their sophomore or junior years. One award is given to an outstanding member of a recognized student organization; another is given to an outstanding officer of a recognized student organization.
