Madria and grad student earn IEEE award

Dr. Sanjay Madria, professor of computer science, and his recent Ph.D. graduate Dr. Vimal Kumar earned the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Best Research Paper Award for the paper “Distributed Attribute Based Access Control of Aggregated Data in Sensor Clouds.” The two were presented with the award at the 34th IEEE Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems, which was held Sept. 28-Oct. 1 in Montreal. This work is supported by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as a multi-year grant contract for the project titled “Secure Sensor Cloud.”
