Missouri S&T has announced a leadership transition and organizational change in Information Technology.

Dr. Wayne Jones has agreed to serve as interim chief information officer due to the recent departure of Dr. Barry Robbins. Jones currently serves as associate vice chancellor for institutional effectiveness and chief institutional research officer. In his interim role, he will report to Alysha O’Neil, vice chancellor for finance and operations. A national search will be launched to identify the next leader for this important role.

As part of the transition, information technology, business intelligence and institutional research will be integrated into the Finance and Operations division. The alignment is intended to strengthen coordination and support the university’s academic, research and administrative missions.

University leaders will continue working with faculty, staff and campus stakeholders to strengthen IT services, communication and responsiveness.
