Chief Roberts receives Rolla Optimist Club award

Missouri S&T Chief of Police Doug Roberts received the Bramlett-Light Award during the Rolla Optimist Club’s annual Respect for Law Enforcement dinner on Wednesday, May 7. The event brought together representatives from local and state law enforcement agencies, members of the Rolla City Council, and judges from both Phelps County and the State Appeals Court.

Rolla COVID-19 ordinance expires, but S&T to continue current protocols

During Monday night’s meeting, the Rolla City Council allowed the city’s COVID-19 ordinance to expire today (Tuesday, Feb. 2). Missouri S&T is not affected by this change. S&T will continue to require face coverings in classrooms, labs and public spaces, limit the size of gatherings, and continue to practice the safety protocols outlined here.

Rolla mask ordinance goes into effect Nov. 27

The Rolla City Council voted Nov. 23 to pass an ordinance requiring facial coverings in public areas and limit the size of some gatherings in Rolla as an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.

COVID-19: S&T prepared for Rolla’s stay-at-home ordinance

Chancellor Mo Dehghani sent the following message to students, faculty and staff on March 31:
The Rolla City Council passed a stay-at-home ordinance Monday night to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. This ordinance goes into effect at 8 a.m. Monday, April 6, and will remain in effect through Monday, May 11. Because of our own measures already in place at Missouri S&T to slow the spread of COVID-19, this ordinance will not have a substantial impact on our current operations.
