Chief Roberts receives Rolla Optimist Club award

Missouri S&T Chief of Police Doug Roberts received the Bramlett-Light Award during the Rolla Optimist Club’s annual Respect for Law Enforcement dinner on Wednesday, May 7. The event brought together representatives from local and state law enforcement agencies, members of the Rolla City Council, and judges from both Phelps County and the State Appeals Court.
Chief Roberts was recognized for his outstanding service and dedication to the Rolla community and the Missouri S&T campus. The award was presented by Rolla City Council member and Optimist Club President Lister Florence.
Also honored at the event was Stacey Smith from Phelps County Central Communications, who received the Sheffield-Kenley Award for outstanding public service.
