The Burns & McDonnell Student Success Center (SSC) offers Tutoring in Thomas Jefferson Hall on Wednesdays from 5pm to 8pm starting February 2nd. Tutoring is a free service provided to the Miner Community without the need for appointments. Check out this link for course offerings.

Residential life leader earns Ph.D.

Dr. Joni Burch, associate director for residential life, successfully defended her dissertation exploring student perceptions of independent living skills development as a result of the residence hall experience on campus. She earned her doctorate degree from the educational leadership and policy analysis department at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

S&T joins JED to support mental health, committee leads efforts

The program is a nationwide initiative of The JED Foundation (JED) designed to help schools evaluate and strengthen their mental health, substance misuse and suicide prevention programs to safeguard individual and community health. COVID-19: Residence hall students to move into University Commons apartments

With fewer than 200 students currently living in the residence halls on S&T’s campus, the remaining Thomas Jefferson and Residential Commons students will move into University Commons apartments with private bedrooms and private bathrooms. Following the move, each student resident will have a private bedroom, a private bathroom, and will share a full kitchen with one other student in the apartment.
