Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 9) in the St. James Chapel of the James and Gahr Mortuary, 117 Seymour St. in St. James, Missouri. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, in the same location.
Mr. Scantlin joined the staff of Missouri S&T in April 1999 and retired in September 2010. He is the husband of Betty Scantlin, telecommunication IT analyst in information technology.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at the Santa Barbara Cemetery Chapel in Santa Barbara, California. Arrangements are under the direction of McDermott-Crockett Mortuary. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara with Sansum Clinic or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Dr. Cheng joined the Missouri S&T faculty in 1985 as a visiting assistant professor in life sciences and later became a teaching associate in chemistry.
Read More »Arlene Ruth James of Rolla, wife of Dr. William (Bill) James, passed away Jan. 3, at the age of 92. Arlene and Bill were married for more than 71 years.
