A lavender graduation ceremony will be held at S&T to recognize and support members of the LGBT+ community. Members of the LGBT+ community who will graduate this semester can sign up online to participate in S&T’s ceremony.

    Donations sought for student clothing closet, food pantry

    The student diversity initiatives staff is launching a gender-affirming clothing closet as well as a food and household goods pantry. These services are provided free to students. Anyone can donate by bringing items to the Diversity House from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Monetary donations will also be accepted, with all money used to purchase supplies and maintain the closet and pantry.     Clear the skies with “Trans*umbrella: Transgender Awareness 101.” Step under the “Trans* umbrella” to gain a clearer understanding of what the T in LGBT stands for, what being transgender is and how the campus community can create a supportive environment for transgender people. All levels of understanding are welcome to attend this seminar at noon Wednesday, April 2, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A of the Havener Center. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.
